Jungle

Jungle Town is an experimental approach for a sustainable community based on a deep human-environment interaction through the design of a complex organism. The cells defines the structure and within each cell there is a system created by the buildings seen as dynamic systems that process information from the environment. The description of the processes necessary to the urban jungle as a substrate (input) for the induction of new organizational processes, the means of investigation thus becomes a tool for participatory planning: the observation of reality leads to a transformation of reality. The process of evolution and self-organization of the village is generated by the participation agreement as an act of transformation of the territory in which natural and artificial, are intimately connected. The contents of the cell is given by the unit that may have different spatial configurations of surface and needs of the people: the possibility of expansion is given in a single axis, defined by curved balconies that are responsible for ensuring the shade large areas. The spatial patterns and boundaries between the cells will be variable due to the needs of the people. The balconies – the ventilation towers and gardens provide an adequate natural ventilation, each cell is equipped with a photovoltaic system capable of producing energy for the needs of the cell and its immediate surroundings In addition to living cells made using traditional techniques and natural will be located in the village of mobile units that can be self-sufficient, or enter into symbiosis with the traditional fixed cells. The mobile cells contribute to the creation of a dynamic environment that can evolve independently on the outskirts of the generation system with other metastructures a growth system similar to a living organism. The conformation of the mobile unit allows the exploitation of solar energy through a photovoltaic system that covers the external protection made with steel cable, which is also responsible for natural ventilation of the cell.
